AMP IS YOUTH VOICE!

AMP believes in empowering youth to share their story to promote change in Iowa’s Foster Care System. There are many opportunities for AMP youth to use their experiences to educate law makers both locally in the state of Iowa and on a national level. Every year all AMP councils get youth input on laws and rule changes that need to be put into effect to better the system. These ideas get put together in an official legislative agenda. Each year AMP youth take a trip to the State Capitol to meet with lawmakers to present our legislative agenda.
